Listen to the following words which begin with or contain the letter "h".

Habitación

Hierba

Hoy

Almohada

The "h" is not pronounced in Spanish.
The letter "h" can go at the beginning or in the middle of a word (not at the end).
When the "h" is preceded by the letter "c" they form the sound "ch" (che) which is often listed separately in Spanish dictionaries.
Some Spanish dictionaries do not include the letter "ch" as a separate letter entry. In which case the words that begin with "ch" can be found listed in their corresponding alphabetical order under the letter "c". The same is also true of the letter "ll".

'Hoy' means today. Yesterday is called 'Ayer' and tomorrow in Spanish is 'Mañana'.

Listen to the following words with the sound "ch".
